What a week! ⚙️✨
Yesterday we wrapped up our first Girls in Gear Summer Camp, and we are still smiling from all the energy, curiosity, and confidence these students brought with them.
Girls in Gear was created through our Women in STEM initiative to introduce incoming 6th grade girls to STEM opportunities, manufacturing careers, and the incredible industries right here in Sherman and Denison.
Over three days, students participated in hands-on activities, toured local industries, met women working in manufacturing, and learned that there are so many exciting career paths available close to home.
A huge thank you to our school partners, industry partners, volunteers, committee members, and everyone who helped make this first camp possible. This is exactly what workforce development looks like, planting seeds early, building confidence, and helping students see what their future can be.
We are so proud of these Girls in Gear! 💜
