The Splash Pool offers the perfect opportunity to cool off right here in Sherman, Texas! Our seasonal aquatic facility provides activities for people of all ages. Grab your sunglasses, apply your sunscreen, pack a cooler (no alcohol or glass), and and join us on the pool deck. Whether you’re a swimmer, or the parent of little splashers, we’ve got the perfect spot to spend your summer day! The Splash is equipped with two 2-story water slides, a drop slide, a diving board, a 1,200 foot current channel, and a tot zone complete with a slide, tumble buckets, and spray features. The Splash is a family destination for all Texoma Familes! 

The Spray Ground at Hawn Parks is a free water ground for children to play. It is filled with tumble buckets, geysers, and sprayers. We encourage shoes of some type to be worn, because the ground does get slippery when wet. To activate the water, bump the red small column in front of the rainbow sprayers. The water will last for about 5 minutes and turn off. Simply bump the column again to continue playing with the water.

The Hawn Skate Park received an update in 2018. The skate park is now fully concrete and accessible to skateboards, roller blades, scooters, and BMX bikes. The renovation features 2 drop in, a set of stairs, a grinding rail, and what the designers of the skate park call a “pump bump”. The addition to Hawn Park allows more use for the citizens of the city and community. The Skate Park closes each night at Midnight. It is suggested that all riders wear safety gear while using the park. The Sherman Dog Park is the idea location for you and your best friend to hang out. The newly added park is located inside Fairview Park. When entering Fairview Park from the east continue past the soccer and baseball fields until the road Y’s in front of Veteran’s Baseball Field. Take a right and it will lead you straight to the Dog Park.

Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1946 to provide habitat for migratory birds, wildlife, and plants native to the area.

Binkley Park

This park has a walking trail plus a ramp-filled mountain bike trail that was created by volunteers. Not only does this park include this 10-mile trail, but it also has a pavilion for a more relaxed day of fun.

Center Street Park

Fully equipped with a playground, soccer, and football fields, this park is the perfect setting for your kids. There is a half-mile walking trail and a pavilion available for rental.

Fairview Park

Get your steps in and take in the scenery on a 2.5-mile-long walking trail. This Sherman park is popular for a number of reasons in addition to the beautiful view. It includes a play structure and designated areas for tennis, soccer, football, softball, and volleyball, plus a baseball field for veterans and pavilion rental opportunities.

The Splash is a summer outdoor waterpark in Fairview Park where Sherman residents and visitors can make a splash on the water slides or diving board. The aquatic park offers private rental parties and swimming classes.

Take your furry friends to the Sherman Dog Park which has separate play areas for big and small dogs.

Head out to the skate park, an enclosed arena where you can show off your skate moves. Kids can also run feely on the playground and there’s even a spray ground at this location. Entertain guests at the pavilion or take the scenic route on the walking trail.

Herman Baker Park

Enjoy nature and wildlife while strolling on the trail around Pickens Lake. Tap into your inner botanist on Herman Baker Park Tree Trail where the trees are labeled as part of an Eagle Scout Project. Visitors can hike, fish, mountain bike, picnic, and even sled in colder months.

Lucy Kidd-Key Park

The statue, fountain, and recently added gazebo are the crown jewels of this park. The park was named after Lucy Kidd-Key, founder of the women’s college that was formerly located at the park site in the late 1800s. The statue and fountain are the remaining structures of the college.

Explore the trail, shoot some hoops, play soccer, watch your kids on the play structure, or invite guests to the pavilions. A statue of Martin Luther King, Jr. commemorates this park.

Old Settlers Park

While this Sherman park is known for hosting annual baseball tournaments, it also offers other amenities such as basketball courts, a playground, a pavilion, and a walking trail.

Pecan Grove Park-East

This is the perfect outdoor getaway for adults and kids. The park has a play structure, a walking trail, a fishing area on Dean Gilbert Lake, and a pavilion.

Pecan Grove Park-West

Along with walking trails and fishing in Dean Gilbert Lake, this side of the park also has an amphitheater for concerts and other events, an 18-hole course for disc golf, pavilions, and play structures. It is the setting for Annual Lights on the Lake each July and the Holiday Lights each December.

Stone Creek Golf Club is a full-service golf course where folks can enjoy golf memberships, superb amenities, outstanding service, and 18 holes of challenging golf.

Lake life is the best life in Sherman because the 4th largest lake in Texas, Lake Texoma, is just 15 minutes away.
