City of Sherman
The City of Sherman was founded in 1846, began its growth in 1852, and continues to develop today, taking advantage of the rapid northward expansion of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Partnered with the Sherman Economic Development Corporation, the sales tax for economic development provides the necessary incentives to attract small businesses and large high-quality employers alike. Sherman eagerly works for a future that is worthy of its proud heritage.
SEDCO Educational Partners
Austin College, Grayson College, and Southeastern Oklahoma State University work closely with students to ensure that education is affordable and accessible to those who wish to pursue college degrees or enjoy personal enrichment classes. College courses are available to high school students and are taught onsite at Grayson College by professors and adjunct instructors, supplemented by online coursework. Students are offered transfer arrangements between several community colleges and four-year institutions.
