Lawrence Equipment Breaks Ground on New Facility in Sherman

(Sherman, Texas) A groundbreaking ceremony was held on February 18, 2026 to celebrate the start of construction on a new corn mill production facility for Lawrence Equipment located at 4811 Tortilla Way in Sherman, Texas. The project represents a major investment in Sherman’s manufacturing sector and supports continued growth in food production technology and advanced industrial operations.

The event began with a welcome from HBA Design Build followed by an invocation delivered by Jason Holleman Lead Pastor of Lighthouse Church. Sherman Mayor Shawn Teamann shared remarks recognizing the importance of the project and the continued economic momentum taking place across the community.

Members of the Lawrence family concluded the ceremony by sharing their appreciation for the support received throughout the development process and their excitement about becoming part of the Sherman community.

“We really appreciate what you’ve done for us out here,” said Johnny Lawrence. “You can’t imagine what a change it was to be here. You’re different here. You care. We’re looking forward to being part of this community. We want to work here, and we want to make it better.”

Kent Sharp President of the Sherman Economic Development Corporation also emphasized the long-term impact of the investment.
“This new corn mill facility represents a strong addition to Sherman’s diverse industrial base. Projects like this bring quality jobs, create long term capital investment, and strengthen our regional economy. We are proud to partner with Lawrence Equipment and look forward to their continued success in Sherman.”

The new facility will support the production operations of Molinos USA a wholly owned subsidiary of Lawrence Equipment and is planned as a modern manufacturing operation designed to expand the company’s capacity to serve customers across the food production industry. The development includes construction of a large-scale production facility and supporting infrastructure improvements within Progress Park. 

Construction is now underway and the project will further position Sherman as a strategic location for advanced manufacturing and food related industrial investment in North Texas.
