SEDCO approves amendments for Easy Foods, Molinos incentives

The Sherman Economic Development Corporation recently update incentive agreements who two food manufacturers with plans to start production in Sherman. During its September meeting, the SEDCO board agreed to increase incentives for Easy Foods — a tortilla chip maker — and Molinos USA, who plans to operate a corn meal operation in Sherman.

SEDCO announced in July 2024 that it would offer nearly $1.3 million of incentives for Lawrence Equipment, Inc. and subsidiary Molinos USA. A month later, SEDCO offered $2.1 million in incentives to Easy Foods, Inc., who are developing a production site on an adjacent to Molinos location.

The incentive modifications come in response to scope changes or additional costs of development for the two projects, which will be built near Progress Drive.
