SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - The WOMO Shop and Connect Expo is an annual event for the public to come out and shop locally.
“This is our third annual, and we’ve kind of changed it up every year. What we’ve done is we talked to the business owners and we realized that what they need is the exposure to the public,” said Vice President of Business Development at the Sherman Economic Development Corporation, Shannon Blake.
Blake said WOMO is an initiative of SEDCO.
“Our goal is to grow the number of women-owned and minority-owned businesses here in Sherman, Texas because we know we already have a good base and we just want to support them and help them in any way,” said Blake.
