Sherman focuses on semiconductor sector as economic shield

SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — "Growth" is a word many cities in Grayson County have used in recent years.
As questions about economic uncertainty spread nationwide, the Sherman Economic Development Corporation is working to make sure their city is prepared.
The city's possible kryptonite against economic troubles is its semiconductor sector.
"It's already done a lot for Sherman," said SEDCO president Kent Sharp. "I mean, the economy has been really explosive in Sherman for the last three years."
