CTE Opportunities Continue to Grow in Sherman ISD

February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) month; a time to highlight the wide range of opportunities available to students today and the doors they open for future success.

Students in Sherman ISD can take advantage of more choices and experiences than any other school district in Grayson County. Ninety-four percent of high school students are currently taking a CTE course.

The new Sherman High School features modern, innovative career and technical education facilities with courses in 24 different programs of study.

SHS will add its 25th program of study with the addition of electrical engineering in the 2024-25 school year. A new lab and certification program will teach the function and use of electrical components, soldering machinery and more.
