Mar 19, 2019, Drew Smith, Herald Democrat: In an effort to make Progress Park a more attractive site for businesses with railway-access needs, the Sherman Economic Development Corp. unveiled a $2.27 million conceptual track system Tuesday that is meant to show prospective companies how the freight infrastructure could be built into their property at the South Sherman industrial complex.
The SEDCO board of trustees was given project details and the opportunity to ask questions during its regular meeting Tuesday morning, but took no formal action on the presentation, which was led by Via Rail Engineering in Fort Worth.
