Jan 16, 2019, William Wadsack, Herald Democrat: Grayson County’s largest employer recently got another tax abatement for a possible $30 million expansion of its local facility.
The Grayson County Commissioners Court unanimously approved a six-year tax abatement for 50 percent of the company’s property taxes each year. Tyson received an identical tax abatement from the city of Sherman earlier this month for its planned investment of $30 million in building and equipment for an 80,000-square-foot expansion of its local facility.
