Ashton Bellows

Ashton Bellows joined the Sherman Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO) in 2015 and has served as Chief Financial Officer since 2023.

Before joining SEDCO, Ashton built a strong foundation across communications and higher education through roles at Grayson College in Denison, Texas; KWTV News 9 in Oklahoma City; and her alma mater, Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications in 2010.

In 2026, Ashton earned the Certified Texas Economic Developer (CTED) designation through the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Office and the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC), further strengthening her expertise in economic development finance, strategic planning, workforce development, and real estate development.

An active leader in the economic development community, Ashton serves on the TEDC Board and the Team Texas Advisory Council. Her professional affiliations include TEDC, the Texas Economic Development Corporation (TxEDC), the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC), the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), and the Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC). Locally, she serves on the Sherman Education Foundation Advisory Committee and is a Board Member for the Child and Family Guidance Center of Texoma.

Ashton and her husband, Dave, live in Sherman and enjoy time with their two sons and two dogs.
