Piner students learn about manufacturing at plant tour

To see the manufacturing process up close, a class of Piner Middle School students garbed in safety vests, earplugs and glasses were Shepherd around heavy machinery that shaped, cut and painted metal.

During a tour of the Eaton plant in Sherman Thursday, the approximately 15 eighth grade students were given a thorough overview of what the company does and how it does it. The students saw the intricate process behind how the company makes metal enclosures for commercial and industrial use.
