The Sherman Economic Development Corporation approved an incentive project this week that will bring 110 jobs to Sherman.
Crescent Processing Company, an outbound call center that processes credit cards, will locate at Jamestown Plaza in the buildings formally occupied by Mama Josie’s Restaurant and Shotz Billiard Parlor. The 110 jobs will pay at least $9.42 an hour and will come with a full benefits package, which SEDCO defined in the agreement.
To qualify for the payments, Crescent must hire 110 full-time employees by Nov. 1, 2006. The employees must be paid a minimum of $9.42 an hour. The agreement defines full benefits as health care and prescription drug benefits, a dental plan and a 401 K cafeteria plan. The company must pay at least 50 percent of the cost of the benefits.
