Our Mission
Since its inception, the Sherman Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO) has focused on a mission and strategy to grow the primary employment sector - those companies with statewide, national and international markets. The Sherman City Council approved a new SEDCO Plan of Work that will be a guide for development, redevelopment and community enhancement in Sherman and the surrounding area.

SEDCO Strategy and Plan of Work
The SEDCO strategy and plan of work is:

• New and small business development
• Retention and expansion of existing industries
• Targeted marketing and attraction of new businesses
• Training, real estate and infrastructure development
• Use of aggressive incentives to support the above strategies

With this plan, Sherman will outpace most other communities of similar size across the State of Texas as we continue our determination and focus on creating a positive business climate to ensure economic success for years to come.
